Instructor

Laurence is 22 and originally from Barnstaple in Devon. He first began surfing in North Devon at the age of 13. Laurence started working at Surf South West in the summer of 2005, between years at Nottingham University where he studied maths.

While at Nottingham, Laurence was president of the university surf team and organised surf trips all over the country for his fellow students. Before, during and after university Laurence has travelled extensively, going to such places as South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Mexico, France, Portugal, Spain and Ireland.

He surfs a 6"1' short board, 6'6" semi-gun and a 5'8" fish. Laurence is a NARS Beach Lifeguard and a BSA Level 1 Coach. He teaches at our centres in Devon during the summers.
