Our holiday base is Playa de Famara, a stunning 3 mile bay hidden away on the uncrowded north coast of the island. We have been organising holidays to this beach for five years and have always found the surf to be ideal for beginners and intermediates.
We can arrange surfing holidays to this location at any time as Lanzarote boasts good waves and weather all year round. We can book your accommodation, car hire and surf tuition.
Bungalows on Famara Beach
The two or three bedroom bungalows are fully furnished with lounge, kitchen and bathroom. The small complex on which the bungalows are sited is situated right behind the beach and backs onto the rugged Canarian landscape. Facilities on the complex include a supermarket, restaurant and small swimming pool.

Surf Coaching/Lessons
We have long standing links with the British Surfing Association approved school permanently based on Playa de Famara. They have British instructors and individual or week long courses can be arranged:

Car Hire
Car rental is available through us, as we are agents for Holiday Autos. Costs start at £127 per week for a Ford Ka. This includes unlimited mileage, collision damage waiver, theft protection, third party insurance and two named drivers. Roof racks are also available upon request for a local charge of 3 euros per day.

Surf South West do not book flights, however we can assist you in obtaining good prices from Robinson Travel, a retail agent for an ATOL holder. We will negotiate the provisional arrangements for your flights that are appropriate to your itinerary and then put you in touch direct with Robinson Travel for you to pay and book your flights. In return Robinson Travel will confirm your flight times and invoice you separately. Please note that we do not take payment for flights ourselves, however by ensuring that you are booking with a retail agent for an ATOL holder you can be assured that your flights are financially protected under an ATOL licence. Financial Protection
For your financial protection, Surf South West complies with the European Package Travel Directive by holding all monies in an independently administered trust account until the completion of your holiday. Just a quick word of thanks for your part in making our time in Lanzarote such a great success. We had a brilliant time which exceeded both our expectations. We were both impressed by your instructors approach; they both struck an excellent balance between providing professional coaching guidance whilst also being very approachable, encouraging and supportive with respect to their offers of help.
