Summer 2016

It seems like once a season is over, we spend the whole time preparing and looking forward to the next one. This season was our 20th anniversary and the anticipation of summer, schools breaking up and peak season arriving seemed to last forever. Once August arrived, it felt like it was all over in the blink of an eye. Probably the sign that we had such a great time at both our surf centers with all the different activities we had going on.

We started off our peak season welcoming our usual large numbers of school groups who visit the school each year as part of their end of season residential program. At the same time we were also working closely with our National Citizenship Service groups, which meant June and July were some of the busiest days we have ever experienced at the school. We have continued to support the fantastic groups that come surfing through the Wave Project and the Princes Trust, giving lots of young people the opportunity to develop through the joy of being in the ocean.

We were stoked to welcome back all our full time instructors that have been part of our team for the last few years. This creates the most fun working environment throughout the season, and everyone has such a good time taking all our new and returning customers into the surf. For once it felt like August delivered sunshine and some fantastic swell, making our anniversary year one that we will remember for a long time. We would like to thank all our customers who came to surf with us, provided feedback through our trip advisor page and emails. We can’t wait to see you all again very soon.
