Stand Up Paddle Boarding has become the fastest growing water sport in the UK and there is a very good reason. It makes getting on the water so accessible, even when they don’t live by the beach. It is a fantastic way of exercising in an enjoyable way, while experiencing nature in many different ways.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding isn’t just restricted to the ocean environment. Once you have the basics skills, adventure paddling up rivers, estuaries, canals and lakes makes the possibility of locations endless. The experience of seeing nature while on the water is a unique experiences that you will only really appreciate once you give the sport a go.
We recently ran a Stand Up Paddle Boarding course at our surf school at Croyde. Our senior instructors John, Will, Andi and Jake all took the course and are now fully qualified by the International Surfing Association to take flat water paddle lessons. We are extremely lucky in North Devon to not only have fantastic beaches to paddle, but nearby rivers and estuary’s that we can explore.
As one of the only Surf Schools in the area to have 4 fully qualified instructors, keep a look out for our introduction to Stand Up Paddling sessions and paddle tours that we will be running through our 2015 summer season
